Visitors IFFA experience at the CFS stand how to improve performance now and over time
At the IFFA Exhibition in Frankfurt- Germany, visitors experience how to improve performance now and over time at the CFS stand in Hall 8. Focus is on the daily operational challenges of meat processors: variety and flexibility, cost per kg / per pack, food safety and environment.
And how to translate this in the right products & packs. This is shown every hour in a catwalk show visualising the impact on productivity, yield, efficiency, distribution, fixed costs, people
and HACCP / SSOP. Exhibits include innovative solutions for peeling sausages, a dust-free production environment, clean oil management, fat analysis, the new CFS PowerPakNT thermo-former and CFS CostFox, a software tool that visualises equipment performance real-time.

CFS-Buehl.jpgCFS opens state-of-the-art plant
The course has been set for the future. Major investments create jobs and have made it possible to set up one of the most modern locations for slicing, loading and packaging systems worldwide. In addition, the other CFS plant in Kempten will be completely modernized for the production of packaging materials. “It is the beginning of a new era,” says Hans Schwaebe, President CFS Buehl. “We will have two modern locations with optimal layout and infrastructures so that we can serve our customers even better, even more flexible in the future.”

CFS demonstrates the CFS ShrinkPak System
During the International Poultry Exposition in Atlanta, GA, CFS held live demonstrations of the CFS ShrinkPak packaging System. As the only manufacturer in the world, CFS offers both thermoformers and films for the production of shrink packs. Products can be packed either with a shrink film as top and bottom web or with a rigid film as topfilm and a shrink film as bottom web. The new CFS ShrinkPak system saves costs, improves logistics and ensures better hygiene and wrinkle-free packs.
Based on the long experience in the field of shrink films and thermoformers, CFS developed the ShrinkPak System. “Now food producers can work with one partner responsible for the performance of the total system: the film as well as the deep-draw machine. And of course they get full technical support from us”, says Bernard Dujardin, Director Packaging Systems at CFS.

1001.jpgA Day of Inspiration
They came from all corners of Europe, invited by CFS to attend a special day filled with inspiration, knowledge and new insights. Renowned speakers from the United Kingdom and France explored the fascinating potential for innovation. CFS President & CEO, John-Ole Hansen presented a unique approach for optimising performance in accordance with the “Lifecycle Performance” philosophy. The practical application of this approach became cristal clear when the new CFS PowerPakNT, the new standard for performance, cost efficiency, flexibility and hygienic design of thermoformers was unveiled. The guests were particularly impressed with the live demonstrations in the CFS Technology Centre, a factory on a practical scale, where CFS machines were operating on a continuous basis and produced a range of attractively meat, fish, chicken and cheese products packed in CFS Packaging Materials.

CFS - focus on overall performance
Top players alone do not make a top team. Only if they perfectly complement each other, it will result in a real dream team. This applies not only to sports, but also to packaging technology. That is why CFS focuses its developments on the performance of the entire system and not merely to the individual units.
